Kauai is the oldest and northernmost of the Hawaiian Islands. Kauai is about 35 minutes by air from Honolulu and Oahu. In most years, Kauai is the wettest place on earth with Mount Wai'ale'ale receiving over 400 inches per year. The island has the most sandy beaches of any of the Hawaiian chain and is more laid back compared to Maui and Waikiki. It is easy to find a deserted spot on the beach. There are many things to do on the Island of Kauai that are
eco-friendly. From hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving to just
exploring the scenery. It is quiet, laid-back, and definitely
a "hang-loose" kinda place.
